New Orleans

McKenna near the Mississippi River.

We had an awesome view of the Mississippi River from our hotel window.
The kids enjoyed playing with their animals and writing in their Summer journals while looking out over New Orleans.

The kids loved riding the trolley and didn't want to get off!

We also enjoyed the New Orleans Aquarium of the America's.

McKenna got to pet a baby nurse shark.

We saw sharks, electric eels, sting rays, giant fish, sea turtles, a big anaconda, a huge white crocodile, jelly fish, sea horses and sea dragons.

We walked down to Jackson Square and to the Mississippi River. We liked watching the steamboats and barges.

Orange Beach Alabama

McKenna had to have her puppy in the picture! He was not allowed to go onto
the beach with us and had to stay in the car.

The beach was really relaxing and not crowded!

McKenna's favorite part of our vacation was playing in the sand!

McKenna and I made a great big beautiful sand castle
and decorated it with sea shells.

Jensen loved body surfing the waves with his snorkel mask.
The water was so clear we could see our feet, sea shells, fish and even a jelly fish!

We'll definitely go back to Orange Beach! It was so much FUN!

Vacation Bible School

I caught me a Kenna!

We were part of the YELLOW Crew and took a WILD RIDE thru the
Avalanche Ranch! The kids had a blast sitting up close to the stage. They danced and sang and were even put on the big screen! We were glad that Marsden came with us again this year!
We had a BLAST!

McKenna's Journey Through Kindergarten

Jensen and McKenna on the first day of school. We like walking to school!

McKenna and Mrs. Schmucker on the first day of school. It's a little scary starting Kindergarten but Mrs. Schmucker is our neighbor and a really fun teacher.

Daddy plays BINGO with Kenna during her Christmas Party! What a nice Daddy!

The Hat Parade!

H is for Hat!
McKenna and Jacey show off their hats they made for Hat Day!

McKenna thought Kindergarten was cool. She really liked making new friends. Here best friends from her class are Hannah and Blake. They also live in our neighborhood and come over to play. Her favorite things about Kindergarten were: The Teddy Bear sleepover and the field trip to the farm (Sabine Creek Ranch).

Jensen's Journey Through Second Grade

First Day of Second Grade!

BEST FRIENDS!
Jensen and Ethan on a field trip at the Dallas Arboretum.

Mrs. Lang's Second Grade Class! Just in case you are having a hard time finding Jensen...he's in the yellow shirt with his mouth wide open - looking silly like usual! Maybe posting a few goofy pictures will motivate him to cooperate during pictures.

During Jensen's Awards Ceremony he received a Citizenship Award and certificate for the A Honor Roll. He loves his teacher, Mrs. Lang. She was an awesome encourager and a very patient teacher. Jensen loves to learn and really likes Math. He has also become interested in running because of the mileage club in PE. He will tell you that he can run really fast! Jensen is really excited about the third grade and is hoping that he will be in the same class again as his best friend, Ethan. But for now, he is ready for Summer!
