Be My Valentine!

Yesterday, Jensen's best friend informed me that Jensen has a dance partner for the Valentine's Day dance tonight. After questioning them, I found out that one of Jensen's classmates had her cousin ask him, during recess, if he would go to the dance with her. Jensen said yes of course because according to him, he didn't want to hurt her feelings.

Today, he has to tell her that he will not be at the dance tonight. Oops, I guess he forgot that we were leaving right after school for NM! It would have been interesting to see if he would have actually danced with her. We'll just have to wait to see what happens next year!

When I Grow Up...

After our first trip to the Vet, I asked McKenna if she would still like to be a Veterinarian when she grows up or if she would like to be a dental hygienist - like me. I thought surely she would say: "You know Mommy, I think I'd rather be a dental hygienist, just like you, than have to collect poop from animals and give them shots."

Instead, she informed us that she would have her "servants" collect the poop and give the shots while she holds and pets the animals.

The problem with getting the puppy or kitten to sit by McKenna for a picture is... she pesters them just as much as they pester each other. We're going to have to work on that if she's going to be a successful Veterinarian. I had to bribe Kodi with a snack to get this picture!

Friend or Foe?

Pictures can be deceiving. Kodi and Dakota "play" together daily. They both love to aggravate each other (just like Jensen and McKenna). I'm still waiting for the day that I find them passed out all cuddled together. I've been trying to get a good picture of them sitting next to each other but I can't seem to get them to stay still!
